What is the Reid Temple Discipleship Development Program?
The Reid Temple Discipleship Development Program is a two-part life changing program to promote spiritual growth that moves us from membership to fellowship to discipleship. It consists of: (1) the Eight-Step Program that guides each member to become an effective Christian disciple and steward; and (2) Boot Camp, a Bible Study series presented by the ministerial staff on-line and in the classroom.

The Eight Steps incorporate completion of the discipleship training program developed by Pastor Washington. It is a series of 10 sessions contained in the Boot Camp Manual. The 10 sessions are divided into easy-to-read lessons that are presented in 2-4 week modules on-line (Monday through Friday) and in the classroom (Saturday and Sunday). The ministerial staff teaches the Boot Camp program February through October of each year.
Boot Camp participants receive a certificate of completion of the program based on weekly participation.

Under the umbrella of the Discipleship Development Program, members are guided through self-assessment of spiritual growth. To complete the Reid Temple Discipleship Development Program is to complete Boot Camp and accomplish the specific actions outlined in the Eight-Step Program guide.
What are the Eight Steps?
The Eight-Steps guide members through self-assessment of spiritual growth. These steps provide a process that starts at the time you join the church through New Members Orientation, Bible Study, the Andrew Plan, ministry involvement, evangelism, and ministry leadership. The specific expectations and actions for each step are outlined in the booklet entitled, The Reid Temple Eight-Step Discipleship Development Program.
