The Worship and Liturgy ministries have the awesome responsibility of supporting and enhancing your total worship experience from the moment that you enter the sanctuary to be seated by members of the Ushers Ministry. The Angelos Ministry provides the audio-visual support that is so critical to your full participation in the service. In conjunction with the Music Department, the Orchestra and Dance ministries will engage and uplift you through song, movement and dance. As you are moved during the service and feel the need for prayer, members of the PUSH Prayer Ministry are available to pray with you individually for your particular spiritual needs.

We invite you to click to the links on the right to learn more about the ministries of the Worship and Liturgy Commission.

The members of the Angelos Ministry at Reid Temple provide comprehensive, high-quality sound, lighting, broadcasting and recording (audio and video), web streaming, and production services for all worship services. They also provide these services to the various church ministries, upon request, for special church events such as concerts, dramas, workshops, conferences, and outdoor fairs.

Contact Bro. Eugene Wooden at 301-352-0320, ext. 401 or email, ewooden@reidtemple.org.

The Reid Temple Orchestra Ministry works in coordination with the Music Ministry with a mission to praise the Lord through instrumental music. We seek to enrich the development of the adult and professional musician by challenging them to hone their musical skills and become respected disciples in the body of Christ. We are charged to offer Instrumental Praise and Worship Music that will minister to the masses and bring honor and glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

“Sing unto the Lord a new song: play skillfully with a loud noise.”--Psalms 33:3

“The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous person availeth much.” (James 5:16)

The prayer warriors of the PUSH (Pray Until the Supernatural Happens) Prayer Ministry undergird the church and its ministries through intercessory prayer. They seek God on behalf of not only the church but the community, the nation and the world. PUSH members also respond to requests for special prayer after every Sunday worship service and during other services as needed.

The PUSH Ministry believes that the call to prayer emanates out of a life of commitment, servitude, and spending private time in the presence of the Lord and looks forward to those who would choose serve in this ministry.

The ministry meetsevery Saturday morning at 7:00am in the sanctuary and training sessions are held on a regular basis.

“Worshiping Through Movement To Touch Lives By His Spirit.”

As David danced before the Lord, so do the members of Reid Temple’s Reflections of God Dance Ministry (ROG) in their excitement to praise Him. Through movement-based interpretations of sacred music, hymns, prayers, and scripture, they magnify the glory of God to touch lives by His Spirit. ROG is currently made up of five units that minister both individually and as a group.

We join the Music Ministry each Sunday during the 7:15, 9:30 and 11:15 am services at the Glenn Dale Campus. Please see the units, ages and rehearsal times listed below and feel free to stop by a rehearsal. If you’d like more information you can give us a call or send an email; the contact information is below.

“Offering you five-star customer service from the time you enter His gates.”

Any member of Reid Temple—men and women, adults and juniors—is welcomed to join and become an active participant of this ministry. The dedicated team of uniformed Ushers maintain order and discipline during regular Sunday worship and other special events and services. Members of the Usher Board play an invaluable role by ensuring the safe and timely flow of all members and visitors who move throughout the sanctuary and overflow areas.  They help to welcome and seat the congregation during services, facilitate the offering process, and provide pleasant and timely guidance regarding the location of church facilities.  The Board is affiliated with the Interdenominational Church Ushers Association (ICUA). Members may join and pay dues to attend the ICUA School of ushering; however, this is not a requirement.

The Usher Board meets every 1st Saturday of the month from 9:00am – 12:00. Training is provided at this time.

Other Training Options:

Glenn Dale Campus – every 2nd Monday of the month from 6:30pm – 8:30pm
