What is Above the Tithe?
In 2019, we launched the Debt Free for Thee campaign and in Spring 2022 we began implementation of the strategic goal to eliminate the building’s primary mortgage over the next two years – “Above the Tithe”!
Above the Tithe kicked off Sunday, January 8, 2023, and is a two-year Faith in God journey that will enable us to free up resources to use to continue to build The Beloved Community!
Already a Tither?
On Sunday, February 5, 2023, our members committed over $500K towards this goal over the next two years.
If you are already a tither, we are asking that you seek God's face and guidance to go Above the Tithe. You've been consistently obedient in giving 10% of your gross income – can you sow an additional seed and commit to giving 11%-20% of your gross for the next two years? If the answer is "yes" click the link below to get started.
Growing to Tithe?
If you are not already a tither, we are praying with you that 2023 is the year you commit to proving God through faith by tithing! Do you really want to tithe, but 10% of your gross income is too difficult a starting point? We encourage you to make small steps throughout the year to grow in this commitment, thus, we suggest starting with giving 2% of your income January - March; 4% April- June; 6% July - September; 8% October - November; 10% December.

Last month you heard how members became tithers and why they continue to tithe. The Richardson family focused on the importance of tithing. Our Young Adults emphasized the importance of continuing to trust God and tithe through strenuous circumstances when life is “life-ing”, and the Myers described tithing as a love and worship of a loving God.
