2023 Congregation-Wide Fast
We are engaging in a Congregation-wide Lenten fast from Wednesday, February 22nd thru Friday, April 6th. During this fast, we will abstain from certain foods and beverages and/or something else like social media, television, and going out. At the same time, we are praying and meditating daily to strengthen our faith.Download the Calendar
We are asking members to prayerfully consider following the dietary suggestions of the Daniel Fast or the partial fast during Lent. In preparation for the dietary component of the Lenten Fast, please consult your medical provider and follow their guidance. Please do not participate in the dietary components of the Lenten Fast without first seeking medical guidance from your medical provider.The Daniel Fast
Drink water today.
Commit to consuming locally grown, fresh or flash frozen produce when possible.
Take a walk. Commit to consistency in your exercise or workout routine.
Avoid listening to/watching secular media.
Only use your cellphone for work-related matters or emergencies.
Abstain from playing video games or game apps. Use this time to memorize scripture.
Watch Rise Up, Wake Up, Pray Up or come to Bible Study.
Do not watch any TV today.
Commit to Staying Focused! Avoid all manner of distractions.
Declutter one room in your home.
Commit to Praying Without Ceasing…
Pray that you will hear God’s voice clearly during lent.
Commit to praying seven times today.
Pray for a deeper relationship with God.
Commit to praying for our church, Pastor, First Lady, Leaders, etc.
Pray in your secret space.
Commit to praying for our federal, state, and local governments and our global community.
Commit to praying about serving…ask God to reveal the ministry where you can operate in your spiritual gifts.
Commit to rededicating yourself to serving heartily in ministry as unto the Lord.

Commit to serving the homeless.
Commit to mentoring a young person.
Meditate on John 13:1-20
Commit to seeking God’s will regarding serving in ministry leadership.
Commit to tithing.
Give to Above the Tithe.
Commit to shredding at least one credit card.
Commit to donating non-perishable food items to a local food pantry or shelter.
Commit to donating clothing and other household items that you do not use to a worthy cause.
Pay it forward! Bless someone in line behind you.
Bless someone like a handyman, house cleaner, trash collector, grocery store worker, etc. with a gift card.
Commit to evangelizing Meditate on Matt. 28:19-20
Invite 10 People to Church
Commit to attending worship services in person if you are physically able to do so.
Encourage someone by sending them a hand- written letter or card.
Commit to not listening to or sharing gossip; flee from gossip.
Apologize to a family, friend, or colleague with whom you may not be reconciled.
Tell someone about Jesus today!
Read John 19; reflect on Jesus' sacrifice for us.
Commit to reading or listening to a Christian book this week.
Commit to attending Bible Study; take notes.
Read Luke 22:40-43; reflect on God’s will for your life.
Reflect on the Christian book you’re reading this week.
