
2023 Congregation-Wide Fast
We are engaging in a Congregation-wide Lenten fast from Wednesday, February 22nd thru Friday, April 6th. During this fast, we will abstain from certain foods and beverages and/or something else like social media, television, and going out. At the same time, we are praying and meditating daily to strengthen our faith.

Dietary Fast
We are asking members to prayerfully consider following the dietary suggestions of the Daniel Fast or the partial fast during Lent. In preparation for the dietary component of the Lenten Fast, please consult your medical provider and follow their guidance. Please do not participate in the dietary components of the Lenten Fast without first seeking medical guidance from your medical provider.

Drink water today.

Commit to consuming locally grown, fresh or flash frozen produce when possible.

Take a walk. Commit to consistency in your exercise or workout routine.

Avoid listening to/watching secular media.

Only use your cellphone for work-related matters or emergencies.

Abstain from playing video games or game apps. Use this time to memorize scripture.

Watch Rise Up, Wake Up, Pray Up or come to Bible Study.

Do not watch any TV today.

Commit to Staying Focused! Avoid all manner of distractions.

Declutter one room in your home.

Commit to Praying Without Ceasing…

Pray that you will hear God’s voice clearly during lent.

Commit to praying seven times today.

Pray for a deeper relationship with God.

Commit to praying for our church, Pastor, First Lady, Leaders, etc.

Pray in your secret space.

Commit to praying for our federal, state, and local governments and our global community.

Commit to praying about serving…ask God to reveal the ministry where you can operate in your spiritual gifts.

Commit to rededicating yourself to serving heartily in ministry as unto the Lord.

Commit to mentoring a young person.
